Increase Website Sales through Surveys
Increase Sales Through Surveys
Want to increase the number of sales from your website using Surveys? I am about to reveal a no-cost method for not only increasing the NUMBER of sales, but increasing the profit per sale as well.
Ask people what they want and give it to them.
Sounds simple, huh? It is, and more importantly, it works.
Here are some ways you can use surveys in your own web business:
1. Use surveys to Pick a Product
By surveying your target market, you can find out what their biggest frustration, their biggest goal, their biggest desire. Once you have that information, you can easily brainstorm possible products to solve those problems, achieve those goals.
2. Use Surveys to Design Sales Copy
Using the same technique, you can find out exactly what people in your target market are looking for. By targeting your sales copy to tell people your product will provide exactly what they are looking for, you increase sales copy.
3. Use Surveys to Increase Sales
Surveying those who left and DIDN’T buy allows you to find out what is lacking in your sales copy or your product.
4. Use Surveys to See What Else Your Product Needs
By surveying customers, you can find out how to make your product better or other products they will be interested in buying. By surveying people who ask for refunds, you can find out how you can improve your product to make it more satisfying.
Surveys can dramatically increase sales, decrease refunds and multiply profits.
Here are some steps you can follow:
1. Set up your survey with the least amount of hassle
Increase website sales at Survey Monkey is free for the first 100 responses per month. It is a simple “point and click†way to create a professional survey and evaluate the results.
2. Write the appropriate question(s)
Keep in mind that people are in a hurry—ask very few questions and make sure the ones you DO ask count.
For example: Instead of asking a bundle of open ended questions, use multiple choice. When asking for an agree/disagree statement, give only three options—agree, no opinion or disagree. Don’t use a 1 to 10 scale—it takes too long to fill out.
3. Make it anonymous unless they choose otherwise
In most cases your most honest answers will come from anonymous surveys—provided you know the “group†taking the survey. For example, when I survey the customers for a particular product, I don’t need to have them give me their names, I know everyone who completes the survey fits into a specific group.
4. Give them a time limit for filling it out
Let people know this is a “5 Question Survey†or a “3-Minute Surveyâ€â€”you will increase replies.
5. Give an incentive for completing the survey
Offer a discount on a future purchase or a download. This costs you little and motivates people to respond to the questions to “get to the prizeâ€.
6. Offer the survey at appropriate times
Here are some ideas:
- 1. When someone leaves you site without buying using an exit pop-up
- 2. When someone buys your product—use it in a follow-up mailing a few days later
- 3. When someone accesses your customer service
- 4. Before someone accesses your free online content
- 5. As a pop-up on a free content page
- 6. When someone subscribes
- 7. When someone unsubscribes
- 8. When someone returns a product
Each of these can provide you with a unique insight into the actions of your visitors. This can allow you to better target your products and services to satisfy them … resulting in an Increase in Sales and Profits for your Website using the power of Surveys.
